It’s a fact, most imported Subaru engines are from automatics. They are easy to distinguish by their flywheel as well as their timing belt assembly, namely the lack of timing belt guides. It is imperative to install these guides (3 in total) when installing an Automatic Subaru EJ20/ej25 series engine into a manual transmission chassis. Failure to do so may allow the timing belt to skip teeth while driving. 

Price is for 1 bolt, requires 2 bolts per timing belt guide (sold separately, 13145aa010) 

Note: this timing belt guide bolt is not the same as the crank sprocket timing belt guide bolt.
